Perugia, “The Queen of the hill towns” as John Symonds loved to call it, has always been praised for its very striking views.
You will start your guided tour with a visit to the impressive 16th century Papal Fortress, known as Rocca Paolina, built by Pope Farnese, that still hides traces of previous Etruscan and Medieval life. Before reaching the main Street, you will stop to enjoy the unique and breathless city’s views. You will then reach the central Piazza known for the famous Major Fountain, emblem of the medieval city’s political independence and cultural aspirations. Then an expert guide will lead you underground to discover a precious city secret. Your tour will end with a walk along the Etruscan city walls and city gates.
Than take some rest in a local trattoria to taste typical food and local wines, we will be glad to suggest you a couple of nice places.
